Slice Information

Tucked along Salem Street in Wakefield, Slice has the kind of easygoing, neighborhood feel that makes you want to linger a little longer than planned. The location itself is convenient, right in the heart of town, and it draws a steady mix of locals grabbing a quick bite and families settling in for a relaxed meal. Walking in, the atmosphere leans casual and welcoming, with a no-fuss setup that keeps the focus where it should be-on the food.

The menu is centered around pizza, but it doesn’t stop there. You’ll find a solid lineup of subs, salads, and classic comfort options that make it more of an all-around diner-style spot than just a pizza joint. The slices are generous, with a crust that strikes a nice balance between crisp and chewy. A classic cheese slice is a good starting point, letting the quality of the sauce and melted cheese speak for itself, but the specialty options are where things get more interesting. Toppings are fresh, and portions don’t feel skimpy, which is something regulars often point out in their reviews.

On a recent visit, the buffalo chicken slice stood out for its bold flavor without being overwhelming, while a simple garden salad on the side felt fresh and well-prepared rather than an afterthought. The menu variety makes it easy to come with a group where everyone wants something a little different, and that flexibility adds to the restaurant’s appeal.

Service here tends to be straightforward and efficient. It’s not overly formal, but that suits the vibe perfectly. Orders come out quickly, even during busier hours, and the staff keeps things moving without making you feel rushed. There’s a familiarity in the way regulars are greeted that gives the place a genuine community feel.

What makes this spot especially appealing is how it fits into the local dining scene. It’s the kind of place you rely on for a dependable meal, whether you’re picking up takeout after a long day or stopping in for a casual sit-down lunch. While it may not aim for anything overly upscale or trendy, it delivers consistently on quality and comfort, which is often exactly what you want from a neighborhood favorite.

What People's Say About Place

Lived in Wakefield my entire life & just heard about this place from a TikTok review. Got slices of pizza that were huge & a wonderful focaccia sandwich. Since it’s located in a gas station you don’t expect much. But omg it’s so good! I will be going back

Very good pizza, you would not expect it by it’s outside appearance. But don’t judge a book by its cover. This is the thinnest crispiest pizza I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating.

Quarter of pizza for $5 and under is a great deal but the pizza is amazing. Closest you will get to Bianchi's in Revere. They use cornmeal at bottom. Sauce taste identical. Don't let the fact that it's in a gas station turn you off. Try this place out!

We usually go to Slice and we live in a town with at least 7 pizza joints. Pizza is good thin crust not yeasty tasting sauce is not bitter at all a little sweet not to much cheese french fries are not very good at all and quite pricey for fries. Nothing special. The people are not friendly or happy. We still go here. Pizza is reasonable compared to all.

Pizza here is consistently great—and the slices are massive! The Slice Sub is my absolute favorite. It’s one of the most perfectly balanced subs I’ve ever had, with prosciutto, balsamic, roasted red peppers, chicken, and mozzarella all working together in perfect harmony. I’ve tried to find something similar elsewhere, but nothing comes close. The Slice Salad with grilled chicken is also fantastic, especially with their white balsamic dressing, which adds a fresh, tangy finish. This place nails both flavor and portion every time. The staff and owners are awesome guys—friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Yes, it’s tucked inside a gas station, but I’m not knocking the atmosphere. This is my go-to spot for pizza, hands down.

This is the best pizza in the area, hands down. Thin, crispy crust, solid undercarriage, not too saucy or cheesy, just perfect. Friendly staff, everything on the menu is delicious.

I can’t remember who told me about this place, but it was like 10 years ago and since then I’ve been enjoying their pizza, probably one of the best i have ever eaten!

It's in a gas station so atmosphere is a convenient store gas station. BUT, I love their Pizza!!
